Job Description

Nessa Labs is an eCommerce design agency. We work with high-growth startups and direct-to-consumer brands as a trusted technology partner, designing and building custom software and apps to help them scale. Additionally, we incubate digital products and launch them to market within the Shopify ecosystem.

We are looking for an experienced Front-End Developer who has worked on cross-functional product teams to join our remote team. We are looking for a candidate with strong React & Shopify knowledge and production experience on top of a solid JavaScript background. Prior agency experience is a plus.

This is a 100% remote position, ideally North America located but open to other locations within a 6-hour max time difference. Preference is given to EST time zones.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement front-end technical solutions based on the requirements of the project
Conduct technical requirements gathering, technical analysis, and development of tech specs.
Conduct research and assist in new scoping efforts.
Provide guidance and training to new members joining the team.
Planning features utilizing sprints and juggling simultaneous feature development.

Skills

Expertise with front-end development including HTML5/CSS3/Javascript
Expertise with Serverless
Expert knowledge in developing cross-platform/browsers (iOS, Android, IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) for web applications.
Experience with Storybook JS, Typescript
Experience with Shopify Liquid templating, Shopify Polaris UI Kit
Some experience with Auth0 authentication
Familiarity with and adherence to web standards and best practices for performance and accessibility (WCAG)
Experience working with source/version control platforms (Git)
Knowledge of SEO best practices.
Proven ability to manage large-scale technology projects successfully.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong communication skills (both in-person and in writing) while interacting with individuals with a range of technical understanding.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Experience

3+ years of professional React experience developing single-page applications.
2-4 years experience with Shopify, its APIs, SDKs, and plugins. You have worked with multiple stores and merchants.
A solid background in Modern Front End Development, including JavaScript frameworks
Experience with NextJS
Experience with Redux
Experience with React Testing tools (ex: Jest)
