Overview
Parri Passu Venture Partners (PPVP), a niche investment fund focused on backing founders in eCommerce and SaaS, partnered with Nessa to design a members-only investment app. The app aimed to provide access to exclusive deal flow typically reserved for institutional investors such as Sequoia, Sierra, and Upfront Capital. The goal was simple, democratize access to exclusive deal flow for investors.

Invest With The Best
The goal was to create the best investment experience in a mobile app.
PPVP's unique selling point was the exclusive, invite-only deal flow accessible only to vetted members. The design and aesthetic aimed to convey a premium identity, starting with an elegant design system that served as the foundation for the user experience from sign-up to deal discovery.
The signup flow was invite-only to ensure only accredited investors were onboarded. The app sign-up flow included FaceID enablement and invite code input. A direct LinkedIn integration allowed users to import their professional profiles for a seamless start.
The sign-up process included informative screens before users began investing. Understanding user motivation and intent was crucial before deal discovery. A series of onboarding screens asked investing questions to personalize the app experience for each user.
The homepage design focused on displaying the right information at the right time, avoiding information overload. A curated feed of content panels featured exclusive deals, company updates, and messages from the PPVP team. The investor's information and current investment opportunities were summarized at the top, showcasing their portfolio.
The app's main navigation prioritized simplicity and access. The homepage encompassed all aspects of discovering new deals and the latest company information, while the explore tab provided access to new exclusive deals available only to PPVP members.
A dedicated tab within the navigation summarized all participated deals, allowing investors to easily track their investments' performance with relevant data, updates, and memos.
PPVP's unique selling point was exclusive access to specific deals. Each deal had a highlighted profile showcasing the opportunity, financial terms, investor pitch deck, latest memos, and all pertinent information investors needed before participating. The UX approach focused on legibility and easy access to key information.
As the app matured and new features were added, the app's interface was designed to scale. An elegant and simplified interface kit with interaction elements, forms, and buttons allowed the PPVP team to extend the app's functionality beyond launch.

Admin Panel
The PPVP team required administrative access and management capabilities to operate the app. A simplified admin panel was designed for this purpose.
The panel provided a master view of all deals, users, and content, combining a traditional CMS with user privilege management. The interface extended into the admin panel, allowing the PPVP team to create and publish new deals directly to the app, manage user preferences, and publish investor updates.
PPVP staff required centralized access and management capabilities for all aspects of the app, particularly investors. Controls were designed for user profiles, investment history, invitation records, and active status.
Easy management and publishing of company information were prioritized. The admin design ensured content and media assets, including company profiles, bios, and relevant investor information, were easily accessible and updatable.
Deal management, the most critical aspect of the admin panel, contained all vital financial information related to deal opportunities. Administrators could modify pitch decks, deal term pricing, closing dates, and other pertinent information required for user access and participation. Simple form fields were used to reduce publishing friction for the PPVP team.
PPVP offers a new way for accredited investors to invest in exclusive deals. Nessa's continued partnership with the PPVP leadership team resulted in the design and creation of a unique mobile app investment experience for modern investors, focusing on clarity, essential deal information, and a sophisticated interface for a premium experience.
